Proof from real campaigns

Real results, and what they mean for water heater companies

Our published case studies are heating and HVAC companies. Each one shows a part of the method we use for water heater installers, and we say plainly which parts transfer.

Written by Ali Sedighi, MBALast updated:

Every number on this page comes from our HVAC and heating work. Water heater companies live in the same world: urgent failures, phone-first searches, and big planned upgrades that need explaining. So we show these results as proof of the method, and then say exactly what we'd borrow from each one for a water heater business.

CombiBoiler.ca: on-demand hot water, explained well

CombiBoiler.ca reached 300% ROI and 300+ monthly leads, with 500+ page-1 rankings for combi-boiler keywords.

What it shows: a combi boiler heats the home and supplies hot water on demand, so its buyers ask the same questions tankless buyers ask. How much hot water at once? What does it cost to run? Will it fit? The site won by answering those questions in depth, page by page, until search engines treated it as the reference.

What transfers: the comparison-content approach behind our tankless upgrade marketing. A water heater company that answers buyer questions more completely than anyone in its area can earn rankings that keep bringing planned upgrades.

HVACDeal.ca: leads at a measured return

HVACDeal.ca produced 500+ leads at a 12:1 ROI.

What it shows: tight measurement. The return is only knowable because leads were tracked to source and to outcome.

What transfers: the reporting discipline behind our same-day replacement leads. Every water heater call gets a tracked number, and we report cost per booked install rather than cost per click.

BCWide.ca: fast lead growth

BCWide.ca achieved 3× leads in 90 days.

What it shows: a quick turnaround is possible when the foundations are fixed first: the website, the call path and the targeting.

What transfers: our first-90-days approach. For a water heater company, that usually means fixing the map listing, adding a price range and arrival window to the site, and running urgent-intent ads only during answered hours.

HeatLand: content at scale

With 850+ SEO articles behind it, HeatLand recorded a 300% lead increase in 6 months.

What it shows: steady, useful content compounds. Hundreds of articles answered hundreds of specific questions, and each one became a small entry point.

What transfers: the content programme behind our rental-to-ownership messaging. Renting homeowners ask many narrow questions, and each honest answer is a page that can rank.

What doesn't transfer automatically

Results never copy over one for one. Some honest limits:

  • Job values differ. A furnace or boiler job usually carries a different ticket from a tank swap, so cost per lead targets have to be recalculated for water heaters.
  • Decision speed differs. Emergency tank replacements close faster than most heating projects; tankless upgrades can close slower.
  • Local markets differ. A result in British Columbia says little about competition in Halifax or Winnipeg.

Reading a case study critically

Any agency's case studies deserve a sceptical read, including ours. When you look at one, ask four things:

  1. Is the client named and the site live? Ours are, so you can see the work.
  2. Is the metric specific? "300+ monthly leads" can be checked against the business; "great growth" can't.
  3. What period does it cover? A 90-day result and a 12-month result tell you different things.
  4. Is it the same kind of business? Ours are heating companies, and we say so.

If an agency can't answer those, treat its numbers as marketing, not evidence.

How we'd measure your results

From week one, we track tracked calls, answered calls, booked installs, average ticket and cost per booked install, split by emergency and planned work. You get a monthly report in plain language. Plan costs are on the pricing page, and the contact page explains how to start.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have published water heater case studies?

Not yet as stand-alone water heater studies. The results here come from HVAC and heating companies, several of which sell hot-water equipment, and we present them as exactly that.

Can we expect the same numbers?

No promise is possible. Your market, competition, prices, call handling and how long the work runs all change the outcome. These results show what the method can do, not what it will do for you.

Where can I verify these?

Each client's live site is linked on this page, and the full set of case studies is published on HVAC.Agency.

Which result is most relevant to a water heater company?

CombiBoiler.ca is closest, because a combi boiler is bought partly for on-demand hot water, and its buyers search and compare much like tankless buyers do.
