How to tell whether a plan pays

Work it out from the margin on one installed water heater. Here is an illustrative example; use your own invoices.

Suppose a standard replacement averages $2,500 installed and leaves you $1,000 in gross margin after the unit, parts and labour. On the Starter plan at $2,998 a month, plus, say, $2,000 in ad spend, you need about five extra booked installs a month to break even on that spend. Every install past five is profit, and every review and repeat customer is a bonus the arithmetic doesn't count.

If your numbers say you'd need 25 extra installs a month to break even, that plan is the wrong size for you right now, and we'll tell you so.

What drives cost for a water heater company

  • Service area size. Covering one city is cheaper to manage than ten municipalities with separate area pages and ad groups.
  • Competition. Urgent water heater phrases in big metros cost more per click than in smaller centres.
  • How many offers you run. Emergency replacement alone is simpler than emergency plus rental buyouts plus tankless plus heat pump water heaters.
  • Your starting point. A sound website and an active map listing mean we can spend on growth instead of repairs.
  • Reporting needs. Multi-crew companies often want weekly reporting and CRM integration, which sits in Growth.

How to choose

  • Starter fits an owner-operator or small crew that needs the basics working: a site that converts, a strong map listing, and modest ads on urgent phrases.
  • Growth fits a company with several installers and a dispatcher, ready to add buyout and upgrade content, retargeting and review generation.
  • Elite fits a regional company that wants video, PR and a real-time dashboard, with monthly strategy time.

Three questions to ask any agency about price

Whatever you decide, put these to us or anyone else before signing:

  1. Is ad spend inside or outside the fee? If it's bundled, you can't tell how much reached Google.
  2. Who owns the accounts and website if we part ways? The answer should be "you, always".
  3. What number will you report each month? If it isn't booked jobs or cost per booked job, push back.

What the price never includes

Our fees never include equipment, installation, permits or warranty work, because we don't do any of it. We are a marketing service, not a contractor.

Frequently asked questions

Is ad spend included in the plan price?

Plan fees cover our work. Media spend paid to Google or Meta is separate and goes on your own ad account, so you always see exactly what was spent.

What does the 7-day free trial include?

We audit your marketing, test how your website performs, analyse your search visibility and benchmark you against nearby competitors. You don't need a credit card to start.

Are there long-term contracts?

No lock-in. You can stop when the work stops paying for itself. Ali will confirm current notice terms in writing before you start.

Do you charge GST or HST?

Yes. Canadian clients add GST/HST to the prices shown, at their province's rate (GST and QST in Quebec).

Which plan should a small water heater company choose?

Most owner-operated companies start with Starter, then move up once tracking shows which channel books installs profitably. Bigger multi-crew companies often need Growth for review generation and CRM integration.
